Campanula punctata 'Plum Wine'

(Spotted Bellflower) The large mauve bells bobbing on their stalks remind me of an American pioneer woman in her bonnet. These beautiful flowers rise up 15" from the 5" tall dark foliage.

'Plum Wine' is a treasure for it's dark foliage alone but the flower simply captivates all who see it. Deer resistant, attracts hummingbirds - who could resist?
