I received 2 shipments in 2010, total of 8 plants, all salvias. I received large plants per capita and they were growing in an interesting well-drained mix. It contained what looked like tiny bits of clay pots in place of perlite. I highly recommend this nursery based on 2010 experience and future 2011 same.

Dendrobium kingianum var. Album 'Elk White'
(White Rock Orchid) This clone is the result of a selfing of the very fine ‘Bay Islands’ clone. It is a very small cane, generally less than 3 inches high and very fat. A miniature delight! Small, pure white heavy textured flowers are presented on short stems. The foliage is light green – this is a true album. It is my personal favorite for tree fern baskets or slabs.

Needs to be kept quite moist.  We grow in rock and in less light than most kingianum clones.

These plants have 5 - 9 canes and are overflowing their 3" clay pots.  Very nice plants, indeed.  Many are beginning to show the first flower spikes of the year.

We also have a few specimen plants available - please inquire.

We are pleased to suggest these other plants, which go well with Dendrobium kingianum var. Album 'Elk White':

Dendrobium kingianum 'Plum Baby' Dendrobium kingianum 'Plum Baby'

(Pink Rock Orchid) This is one of our favorites, as it is hearty and prolific. From a seedling we raised in the 80s. Densely growing, medium-sized clone with spectacular plum flowers that hover above the canes on thin stems. We have nice, full 6-10 cane plants. These will form very large clumps in just a few years. This one works well mounted, as well as in pots.

Needs to be kept quite moist.  We grow in rock and in less light than most kingianum clones.
