Doronicum orientale 'Magnificum'
(Big Yellow Leopard's Bane) When the Daffodils start, so does this large and showy yellow daisy. We think that this form is the strongest grower, and use it for it's long lasting cut flowers during what is often a dreary part of the year.
Generally considered an early Spring bloomer, with partial shade and attention to soil moisture we have bloomed this plant from February to late June. A very fine addition to a perennial border, this
Doronicum
has 2 to 3 inch flowers on stems up to 18 inches long. Very nice for a time when this sort of color is rare in the shade.
These are nice, full one gallon cans that are starting to grow and bloom.
