Synopsis: Fresh Sage gives a simple pesto recipe new zing.
Many gardeners are accustomed to seasoning pasta with tangy pesto blend of basil, pine nuts, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper. However, replacing the basil with fresh sage leaves and parsley provides a surprising twist on this popular dish. The tempting Sage Pesto recipe at Food.com also substitutes walnuts for pine nuts and adds grated Parmesan for additional savory flavor. Growing your own Culinary Sage makes provides the freshest flavor for cooking.
Ordered a dozen assorted salvia, all arrived in great shape, plus the website has plenty if guidNce for where to site the plants and how to care for. Great company's, gorgeous plants, great packing job. So excited for these new additions to my garden.

My order came a couple of days ago and I had to write and thank you. The packing was some of the best I've seen and all the plants were large beautiful specimens, every single one arriving in excellent shape. I buy a lot of plants mail order and your nursery is at the top of my list! Thank you for the excellent job you do and your customer service is the best!

I am always happy with your plants and look forward to their arrival every year! Your plants arrive healthy and strong and ready to grow and flower for me here in Long Islsnd. No one has the selection you have or the care of the plants you can see in every pinch to promote branching and the nice deep root pots! I wish my climate would allow all your salvias to overwinter here! Thank you for the...

I am extremely pleased with all plants that I have received from FBTS. The plants were all well packed, shipped promptly and very healthy, unlike other mail order companies with their very small pots and straggly plants.
I have ordered several salvias and they have all arrived in excellent condition and are doing well in my garden. I love the variety available and the shopping experience online makes it easy to find the plants and colors I seek.
Everything arrived in perfect condition. We followed the instructions of allowing the plant to accumulate to the local climate in Texas. We planted them two days after we got them. The plants are doing very well with drip irrigation to the base of all 4. Now we wait for the flowers.

i had never ordered plants online before, so i was very skeptical about the condition the plant would be in. When i received it, i was amazed...absolutely amazed! As promised, the plant was robustly healthy, carefully packaged (easily survived a very clumsy fedex guy dropping it right in front of me), and arrived within 2 days. Overall, excellent service and quality, this plant is simply gorgeo...

I'm just getting in to growing salvias. I ordered 3 each of salvia glechomifolia (ground ivy sage) and salvia microphylla ("Hot Lips") from FBTS. All plants arrived happy and thriving, and have already settled in with new growth and flowers in my Portland garden. Thank you Vikki and Kermit!

As I have said before your plants arrive in beautiful condition with great root systems and are growing nicely. My only suggestion? Better estimation of the ultimate dimensions of the plants. I realize this will vary greatly depending on the quality of the soil but 2 examples that stand out from my orders: 1) S. Blue Ensign---the website said 3'h x 2'w, the plastic plant identifier says 4'h x 4...

I just received 7 salvia plants: salvia coccinea summer jewel pink and lavender, salvia cinnabarina, salvia fulgens, and salvia guaranitica black and blue. They arrived in perfect condition so perfectly wrapped and protected in a nice size box. I unwrapped them and my plants ranged in height from 6" to 12". They look amazing and I can't wait to plant them.
