Category:News Posted: Jan 14, 2015 03:38 PM Synopsis: Sometimes small changes help online plant nurseries to stay upbeat and, as the Bee Gees sang, to "keep staying alive." Flowers by the Sea, a specialty online Salvia nursery, has made a small increase in its minimum order fee from $10 to $20 to stay profitable and keep providing a wide variety of popular and rare Salvias and companion plants.
Category:News Posted: Aug 16, 2013 09:59 AM Synopsis: Flowers by the Sea now offers a powerful, do-it-yourself, product-filtering tool that makes plant selection easier and faster. It sets up a matrix of choices to help customers sort possible selections for their gardens based on USDA cold hardiness zones, sun exposure, mature height and spread of plants, soil type and water needs. This article explains how the tool works and provides examples of how to use it.

The plant arrived healthy and responded beautifully to my 1st experience at "hardening" and preparing for potting.
I kept the plant in the pot for a few months and now it is in the garden bed and doing wonderfully.
Many thanks from a novice gard...
I received my plants from FBTS Yesterday. I immediately opened the box and was in awe at the size and healthy condition of the plants even traveling from California to NY. The plants were perfect and even had blooms and buds ready to open when they arrived. I carefully unpacked them and placed them in a window with filtered sunlight for a couple of days prior to moving them onto my porch fo...
Used to live in CA and when I moved to NJ I missed the availability of Salvias. Found your website, searched by zone as I live in zone 6 and found the best asst of Salvias. Believe me when I say that as we order seeds from all over the world. And to our amazement the quality of the plants surpassed the selection! Always top quality plants.

My "Summer Jewell Red" and "David Verity" Salvia arrived on time nice and moist (from CA to GA) and were in the containers on my deck within an hour. Hummingbirds on the Jewell Red Salvia within hours. Vigorous beautiful specimens and prompt arrival assured me that this is the "only way to go" in the future. Thanks for the personal service and beautiful plants.

I am always hesitant to order plants by mail, having had some disappointing experiences, but my first order from Flowers by the Sea was perfect in every way. We marveled at the incredible care shown in the way the plants were packed for shipping. All 14 plants in our order (mostly salvias) arrived in perfect condition and perfect health, many with blooms, all with clear signs of ongoing growth....

FBTS is a valuable gem I discovered and could not be more pleased. My first delivery was not in good shape at all due to being out of town when delivered and they were packaged too long. However, the owner made the effort to satisfy his customer by replacing the plants and sending me a bonus plant. Now in this day and age it is rare to find a company willing to go the extra mile but they sure ...

I ordered Agastache 'Ava' to plant in a memorial garden for a little girl bearing the same name. I could not be more pleased. The plants arrived healthy. One month after planting them, we were away for a week. It didn't rain that entire week and I thought the plants would have died. However, this variety is so hardy that not only did they survive, they bloomed with the most beautiful pink flowe...

It was a pleasure shopping here at Flowers by the Sea. I received my Salvia plants timely and the quality has been the best i have received from any online delivery. I will continue to shop here comftrably
I gloriously pleased with the site and the plants. The plants were HEALTHY large, and three of them were blooming and one had set seed. I couldn't be happier. The species were not the normal salvias and I can't wait for them to get large. There was a difference on one salvia between its description on the site and what conditions were on the tag. I called and they said that it was a new plan...
