Masdevallia Prince Charming 'Highland'

One of the all time best. This is one of the first of the "modern" Masdevallia hybrids, this primary hybrid of M. veitchiana x M. angulata was made by Rod McLellan in 1979. Still today, some 40 years later, it is hardy, dependable, adaptable, long blooming and easy to grow. This particular clone was selected by the late Bartley Schwartz at Highland Tropicals in Half Moon Bay, California.

Do we like this plant? Can you guess? Grow this variety in cool to intermediate conditions, and enjoy six months or more of 4" long, heavy textured flowers that last for weeks. This variety can be grown into a very impressive specimen.
