| Standards
are tall plants with large flowers. Generally they take up quite a
bit of room.
Intermediates
are small flowered varieties on large to medium plants. Many have a
large number of flowers - up to 40.
Miniatures
have small flowers on small to medium sized plants. Most have Cym.
pumilum (floribundum) in their parentage.
Concolors are
hybrids having no red pigment in the flower. Hence, they are white,
yellow, green - or a combination of these colors.
Species are the
Cymbidiums found in the wild, and selected varieties that have been
developed in cultivation.
Primary
Hybrids are crosses between two species. They are often very
unusual, and always fascinate.
Seedlings are
small, unbloomed crosses, including species.
