I love you guys--the S. macrophylla started blooming flowers a few days after it arrived and so are the canariensis and radula that I ordered earlier in the month. They are absolutely gorgeous and I have no doubt they will thrive once planted in the ground. Thank you thank you!

I also wrote a yelp review to help get your site out there :-)

I ordered 4 salvia this year. All arrived GREEN and VIBRANT--no wilt and no breakage. By far the best plant packing I have seen...but most importantly, all the plants went into the ground and took perfectly.

I love the selection! Please keep scouring the world for new salvias.

Also love the blog!

Salvia leucantha 'Variegata'
(Variegated Mexican Bush Sage) A slow growing and somewhat finicky variety, this highly variegated Mexican Bush Sage is unique and rare. The leaves and stems are slightly twisted, making it compact and dense. The purple flowers are small - this is primarily a foliage plant.

We have grown this Sage for many years.  We purchased it as 'Variegata', but there are many similar-to-identical clones offered with Japanese names.  In any case, this is the best grower of a not particularly robust variety.

Grow this one in partial shade, in humus rich well drained soil with ample water.  It is a delight in a mixed planter.

Limited quantities.
