I recently bought 5 salvias in two varieties. I was impressed on how quickly they came and how carefully packaged they were. I cant wait to watch them mature, and will defiantly be buying more from you in the future! Thanks!

WOW!!! I just received another shipment of plants froom FBTS. These plants are Beautiful. Perfect condition big healthy salvias!

I can't say enough positive things about Kermit and Vikki. By far the best place to buy salvias from. I wouldn't think of buying elsewhere without seeing if they have the plant I am looking for first.

I honestly cannot recommend them more highly. Don't hesitate to place an order here, you will not find better people to deal with anywhere.

Salvia madrensis 'Red Neck Girl'
(Red Stem Forysthia Sage) Another late blooming, high altitude (4,000-5,000ft.) perennial from the Sierra Madre Oriental in Mexico, this statuesque beauty is hardy to at least 20F and will come back from root stock if knocked down to the ground by short periods of colder temperatures.

Flowers are an unusual (for Salvias) butter yellow and first appear in Fall then continue till frost or Spring in mild winter areas. Good for cut flowers. Heart shaped, rough textured leaves generously clothe the plant and are graduated in size starting out large at the bottom and smaller on top.

Plant forms a multi-stemmed thicket via slowly spreading rootstock and can easily be kept tidy by pulling the unwanted stems out. Morning sun and afternoon shade is ideal.  The red stems are a fine contrast to the large, apple green leaves.

This is a prehistoric-looking plant when it is growing. The square stems can get 3" across, and the plant seems to grow before your eyes. I love it with Bog Sage, Salvia uliginosa, planted at its base.
