Truly one of the most rewarding nursery orders I have placed. When the plants arrived, they looked like they had been lovingly cared for, not just watered.
The two plants I ordered are doing well. The Heatwave Glimmer is my favorite. What an exceptionally beautiful plant. And a fast grower. I placed in a container and it filled out in a couple of weeks. The petals are like velvet and the stem and foliage colors are very deep, rich colors. Absolutely beautiful!

Clearly I am addicted to Flowers by the Sea! I think I've just about ordered at least one of everything! The plants are all super healthy, and arrive in great shape owing to the (patented?) packing method. The hummingbirds, bees and butterflies are in 7th heaven. I HIGHLY recommend FBTS for all the plants they offer, not just the salvias. I got some terrestrial orchids that are doing great, and they have other unusual plants as well. Order with confidence - you will be delighted.

Ordered 7 plants, 4 different varieties of Salvia. From California to Wisconsin 5 days in a box and these plants looked better than what I can buy locally from a greenhouse. Absolutely gorgeous!!!

My sages arrived today. I was so excited when I opened the box to discover that all were moist and vibrant after three days on the road. One of the Salvia lyciodes x greggii 'Ultra Violet' plants was even blooming! Also, how thoughtful of you to wrap them in newsprint! There were no materials to throw away; the newsprint is now in my compost heap.

I received my plants in a very timely fashion and they were in unbelievably good condition. I have never ordered plants online that were better packed. I following the directions supplied and my plants are now in containers and looking great. I live in an apartment and have very limited space on my deck..........but do intend to order a few more plants. Anyone wondering whether to order plants from this firm...............don't hesitate but place your order ASAP.

I am always hesitant to order plants by mail, having had some disappointing experiences, but my first order from Flowers by the Sea was perfect in every way. We marveled at the incredible care shown in the way the plants were packed for shipping. All 14 plants in our order (mostly salvias) arrived in perfect condition and perfect health, many with blooms, all with clear signs of ongoing growth. They were good-sized plants for their little pots, too. Although I did follow the hardening-off instructions, and the plants are all thriving and rapidly doubling in size, I think they were ready to go as soon as they arrived.
After my order I had a few questions about transplanting some established salvias that came from a local nursery. Kermit at FbtS immediately answered my questions in a detailed, knowledgeable, and very helpful manner. My mind is made up: These are some very good people, they know their salvias, they are eager to help, and you will get good karma and healthy plants if you order from them :)

I must say my order of Scarlet Spires salvia arrived as the most beautiful plants I have ever purchased to receive through the mail. Absolutely awesome quality!

I received my plants from FBTS Yesterday. I immediately opened the box and was in awe at the size and healthy condition of the plants even traveling from California to NY. The plants were perfect and even had blooms and buds ready to open when they arrived. I carefully unpacked them and placed them in a window with filtered sunlight for a couple of days prior to moving them onto my porch for hardening off before planting. Of all the Salvias I have ordered online over the years these are by far the largest and most vigorous I have ever received from any company. The staff at FBTS knows how to do it right.

I have now had gardens in four locations (Boston, Oregon, Palm Springs, and Mountain Center, CA) with plants from Flowers by the Sea. I LOVE Salvias, and there is no one I'd rather buy them from.
Plants are shipped well, and in a timely fashion, always surprisingly large and always well-rooted, healthy specimens. The owners are knowledgeable and helpful, in fact, extraordinarily so. FBTS is one of my favorite online nurseries - and I've probably purchased over the last few decades from a fifty different nurseries.

Our very first order from Flowers By The Sea arrived yesterday. Excellent packaging insured that all plants were in perfect condition. We have rarely ever seen anything done so well. Because the plants look in wonderful shape, expectations are that we will have beautiful blooms this summer. In fact, Salvia microphylla already has buds on it. Thank you, FBTS, for top quality plants and service. We will certainly be placing more orders. JK
