Full Sun Container Garden

FBTS offers build-your-own Container Gardening Kits for Full Sun, Partial Shade, and Full Shade locations. The plants listed here thrive in Full Sun in most climates, but can be grown in partial shade in very warm areas. Any combo you choose will fill a pot 16 to 30 inches in diameter and contain plants that grow well together.

Full Sun

You select one Thriller, one Spiller, and one or more Fillers based on the look you want to achieve.

Pick one Thriller, one Spiller, and one or more Fillers:

  • A Thriller plant is the central focus of the container, the "wow" plant.
  • The Spiller is a plant with relaxed or trailing foliage that softens the look.
  • Filler plants complement but don't dominate their groupings.

Place the Thriller in the center or rear of its container with the Spiller near the edge. Tuck Filler plants throughout the grouping to give it body and, generally, extend bloom time.

Our Container Gardening Kits give you a discount on regular per-plant prices, which makes them economical. Whether your outdoor growing area is spacious or small, these kits are excellent starting points around which to build graceful container gardens.
