Synopsis: An Excel spreadsheet can be helpful in tracking Salvia plantings.
For those who love the power of Microsoft Excel to record and sort information, a spreadsheet may be a useful tool for tracking plantings of Salvias and their landscape partners. You can think of any number of useful categories for your spreadsheet, including common and botanical names, planting dates and locations and observations about whether sunlight and moisture are sufficient or over-abundant. The categories and coding are up to you.
We like to give credit where credit is due: This bright idea came from mathematician, engineer and urban homesteader Laurie Neverman of the Common Sense Homesteading website.

I have ordered twice this season from Flowers By The Sea, and have received excellent plants and service. The salvias and cupheas I ordered were healthy and good sized. I do not mind paying shipping from California if the plants are worth it.What a selection of salvias! The "Big Swing" I bought in June is already three feet tall and is sending out spikes. A fine nursery with high standards.

I received an invitation to comment on the salvia arizonica that I planted this fall. Normally, I decline opportunities to review products or services. FBTS is different. The salvia arizonica , salvia ultraviolet, salvia pozo blue, Furman's salvia greggii, salvia marine blue, and salvia darcyi were all received in excellent condition in the Texas panhandle through the brutal 2016 summer an...

My plants arrived in excellent condition! They are bigger and better than any plant I've ever ordered, by far. One plant could not be shipped so I called, and their customer service rep was SO polite and helpful. I'll definitely place more orders with them!

I cannot rate this company highly enough! Wonderful web site, endless interesting varieties, excellent service, and strong, healthy plants which arrive ready to grow practically right out of the box. I wholeheartedly recommend Flowers by the Sea to all my gardening friends, and only wish I'd discovered it sooner myself.

I received my second order of great looking plants - they were sent on Monday and didn't arrive until Friday - only slightly limp; I said "great looking" because they were thick, bushy and very healthy looking.

I ordered 6 plants in early July. They were shipped very quickly by FBTS. I was stunned when the box arrived completely beat up. I was worried about my new plants. I opened up the box, and it took sometime to unwrap the plants, due to the extra packing efforts of FBTS. I was amazed that there was only very minor damage to one plant! All of the plants are in the ground now, and looking great!
