Hi! I ordered outdoor orchids from you last year. Just wanted to say how great they are doing. Mounted the orchids on the trunk of my tree ferns and about half of the kikis are blooming. Evey-thing you sent is still alive. I have never been able to keep orchids alive indoors but they really like hanging outside on trees.

WOW!!! I just received another shipment of plants froom FBTS. These plants are Beautiful. Perfect condition big healthy salvias!

I can't say enough positive things about Kermit and Vikki. By far the best place to buy salvias from. I wouldn't think of buying elsewhere without seeing if they have the plant I am looking for first.

I honestly cannot recommend them more highly. Don't hesitate to place an order here, you will not find better people to deal with anywhere.

Salvia brandegei
(Santa Rosa Island Sage) A fine native California Sage that is far more hardy than its origin would suggest. Santa Rosa Island, off the coast of Southern Cal, is the only place this plant grows in nature. It is drought resistant, has beautiful fragrant deep green rugose leaves, and forms a dense 3 foot mound. The Spring flower display is heavenly - great clouds of clear lavender-tinged-blue flowers.

Plant this sage in well drained soil (although it does tolerate clay soils quite well) in full sun, and give regular water to see what fast growth looks like - or don't water at all once established.  In either case you'll appreciate the many charms of this unusual Salvia.

A note on cold tolerance: This plant will tolerate a few hours of 0 degrees F, but cannot take full cold Zone 7a Winters.

Highly recommended.
