Good Companions

(Elk Bright Eyes Sage) Dark green and red calyxes support the raspberry-red flowers of Salvia x 'Elk Bright Eyes'. The pink throats of the blossoms are topped with white beelines, or eyes.

Elk Bright Eyes Sage is a hybrid Sage developed at FBTS. Dark red and green calyxes cup its flowers, which rise above glossy green, oblong leaves.

This one has a taller than average upright form and adds deep color to our series of Salvia hybrids called the Elk Rainbow Sages™.

Elk Bright Eyes is a long blooming subshrub combining soft perennial foliage with woody growth. This is a fine sage for containers or middle of borders in locations ranging from full sun to partial shade. It tolerates drought but appreciates average watering based on local conditions. Don't forget to give it well-drained soil.

Red flowers are hummingbird magnets, so Elk Bright Eyes is perfect for a wildlife garden. Expect a crowd of honeybees as well. Although bees can't see most reds, they notice beelines.
