I received 2 shipments in 2010, total of 8 plants, all salvias. I received large plants per capita and they were growing in an interesting well-drained mix. It contained what looked like tiny bits of clay pots in place of perlite. I highly recommend this nursery based on 2010 experience and future 2011 same.

I love you guys--the S. macrophylla started blooming flowers a few days after it arrived and so are the canariensis and radula that I ordered earlier in the month. They are absolutely gorgeous and I have no doubt they will thrive once planted in the ground. Thank you thank you!

I also wrote a yelp review to help get your site out there :-)

Salvia curviflora
(Pink Tehuacan Sage) Large, hot magenta-pink flowers in large clusters top the elegant foliage of this most worthwhile sage. It blooms for us over a long season, starting in the late Spring. An elegant and rare Sage that should be more widely planted.

A rather new plant in cultivation, it was collected in the Tehuacan region of Mexico, the same region where the first wild maize was taken into cultivation.

Highly recommended.

Thank you Brent Barnes for this great picture!

Salvia chiapensis Salvia chiapensis

(Chiapas Sage) This plant blooms 12 months of the year for us! Its compact, free flowering, likes a bit of shade and isn't bothered by pests, large or small.

Salvia cuspidata ssp. gilliesii Salvia cuspidata ssp. gilliesii

(Chilean Mountain Sage) This spectacular shrub, which used to be known as S. gillesii, is delicate in appearance but strong growing and robust in the garden. A native of the Chilean Andes, it grows in the full sun on rocky slopes often shrouded in fog from the nearby Pacific Ocean. The rounded wooly soft grey toothed leaves are pleasantly scented, and drape on the plant in a way that reminds me of the limbs of conifers.

 Our price: $9.00

#735
Salvia flocculosa Salvia flocculosa

(Blue Ecuadorian Sage) A beautiful, densely branched shrub with silvery leaves, this rare species was once thought to be S. cruickshanksii. In the California nursery trade, it has been called "Salvia 'Equador'". This is the true species, a great garden plant for warm areas.

#746
Salvia oppositiflora Salvia oppositiflora

(Opposite Peruvian Sage) We know of no other Salvia with this color - rich & creamy orange with standout yellow hairs. These 3 inch blooms are displayed in opposite pairs on the floral structure - the source of it's name.

 Our price: $7.50

#687
Salvia oxyphora Salvia oxyphora

(Fuzzy Bolivian Sage) Dramatic large fuzzy pink flowers in large clusters top this shiny, dark-green-leaved, tropical looking plant. To say that it stands out in the garden is a true understatement. This is not your parents Salvia.

 Our price: $7.50

#347
Salvia sagittata Salvia sagittata

(Arrowleaf Sage) This unusual herbaceous perennial is found at high elevations (9,500ft.-10,000ft.) in the Cordillera de los Andes of Chile and Peru. It’s arrow-head shaped leaves (sagittata refers to this shape) are deeply textured, yellow-green and woolly on the undersides.

The blooms are a gorgeous, brilliant royal blue and rise 1’-2’ from the leafy stems starting in Summer and continuing through the Fall.
