(Elk Cranberry Red Sage) With larger-than-expected deep red flowers and dark stems, this outstanding new variety from FBTS is without a doubt a "Best of Breed" plant.

It resembles the older variety, Salvia microphylla 'Killer Cranberry', and we feel it is better in all ways:  more compact. larger flower and better foliage.  If you like 'Killer Cranberry', you'll love 'Elk Cranberry'.

A great hummingbird plant.  Although it's parentage is mixed, it requires the same care as Mountain Sage, Salvia microphylla.

Elk Rainbow Sage
A Rainbow of Quality

At Flowers by the Sea, we regularly develop new cultivars such as our hybrid series of Elk Rainbow Sages™, which are varieties of Jame Sage Hybrids ( Salvia x jamensis) in a broad array of solids and bicolors ranging from pastels to brights. Attractive to hummingbirds and honeybees, they are lovely yet tough crosses that include Autumn Sage (Salvia greggii) and Mountain Sage (Salvia microphylla).
